Tracking down the elusive Seedbed Curse items in Elden Ring is essential for players looking to complete the Dung Eater's dark questline and unlock the Blessing of Despair ending. These grim key items are found scattered on defiled corpses strapped to chairs across some of the most dangerous legacy dungeons in the Lands Between. Securing enough of them requires keen exploration and careful progression before major world-altering events take place.
The Royal Capital Collection
The majority of these macabre items can initially be discovered within Leyndell, Royal Capital, before the city undergoes dramatic changes. The first is found by starting from the East Capital Rampart Site of Grace, taking the nearby elevator down, and climbing a ladder inside a tower to find a body resting on a chair. Another curse is located on the west side of the inner capital within the Fortified Manor, situated inside a direct replica of the Dung Eater's Roundtable Hold room.
If you progress through the regional questlines properly, a third potential curse can be obtained in the outer moat near the Capital Ramparts from Blackguard Big Boggart. However, players must gather the mainline capital items before defeating Maliketh in Crumbling Farum Azula, as the area changes permanently afterward.
The Cages of Volcano Manor
Deep within the fiery depths of Mt. Gelmir, Volcano Manor holds another well-hidden Seedbed Curse for ambitious explorers to claim. To locate this item, players should navigate through the legacy dungeon until they reach the room containing the portal to Rykard's boss arena. Instead of entering the portal, head up the nearby stairs and use a Stonesword Key to unlock a sealed fog door.
Inside this massive chamber, carefully drop across the hanging iron cages to reach the lowest level of the room. After defeating the enemies waiting at the bottom, search the western side of the floor to find the signature corpse tied to a chair holding the prize.
The Dangerous Heights of Elphael
The final pieces of this disturbing puzzle are located in the late-game secret area known as Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree. Starting from the Prayer Room Site of Grace, head forward along the main walkway until you encounter two crossbowmen stationed on a ledge above you. From there, jump onto the stone buttress, drop down onto a small platform with a pagoda, and climb the adjacent northwest buttress to find a corpse sitting on an exterior balcony.
The fifth curse can also be reached from the Prayer Room by following the main stairs down as far as possible until approaching a room guarded by Cleanrot Knights. Jump over the railing to the right onto a lower brace before entering, drop down further to a dark lower walkway, and enter the unlit room underneath to claim the final item.
